Who Is Aaron J. Werner?

Dr. Werner is a Christian attempting to follow Jesus without the modern additions corrupting American Christianity and distorting Christ’s message.  Dr. Werner served as an Assistant Professor of Religion at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia (2019-2023), and as an Assistant Professor of Christian Studies at Shorter University in Rome, Georgia (2005-2013).  He has also served as a church-planting missionary with the North American Mission Board (NAMB) in Portland, Maine (2013-2019), and has been a pastor at churches in Florida, Kentucky, Arkansas, Indiana, and California. ​​Prior to entering vocational ministry, Dr. Werner's employment included coaching NCAA D1 Track & Field at Campbell University, serving as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), teaching science at a North Carolina public high school, working as a professional SCUBA Diver in West Palm Beach, and operating his own commercial lobster boat in Portland, Maine. Dr. Werner’s academic interest focus on the application of reason in the development of faith.  His Ph.D. dissertation analyzed Timothy Dwight’s use of apologetics during Dwight’s presidency at Yale (1795-1817).
